Abies pinsapo Aurea

Description:

One of our favorite specimen conifers. Plants are slow growing upright pyramids with brilliant yellow needles in summer. In winter the inner growth turns bluish and the yellow outer growth changes to a buff color. Tolerates wind but probably best suited to a protected spot in the garden. We experience some sunburn every winter in our open windy fields.
